Walker Racing Development Race Engineer App — How to Use the App

Cant afford a Race engineer for your race program ? The WRD Race engineer app allows you to have professional race engineering tools, calculators and detailed run log documentation to not only keep you organized but help the you go faster.

The Work flow

Start by entering your full inventory of components for your racing discipline. This can include wheel and tire options, shocks, springs, torsion bars, and engines. Utilize the front end geometry kinematic tools, spring rate and load calculators for torsion bars, single and dual rate spring set ups, and gear chart and drive ratio calculator .

When your inventory is complete and you have found your setup, open the Setup tab and enter the related information. Examples include event name, the venue, and the class. Select build Components from your inventory in the related dropdown menus, so you can build the setup sheet faster. Send toe, cast, camber and other critical information from related tabs directly to the set up page with the click of a button.

Record the driver’s feedback, changes made to the race car, track or weather conditions. Note anything you consider important. in each section when you come off the track. Changes made from base set up will highlight in orange to know there was a change.

When the run log is complete and your event is over, press Export at the bottom of the page. The app compiles your entries, set up and components into a PDF on your device. Your data is not stored on the internet, on a third-party network, or in a cloud server. Your data remains yours. You may copy the exported setup sheet to a computer or a thumb drive, or email to a team member , shock guy ect. Now you have detailed documents for each and every time you have hit the track. To review any time in the future.

All of our apps are specific to the type of vehicle you are racing. Different apps have different dynamic kinematics to choose from. Want to add a theoretical turn of preload in a specific corner and see how it affects cross weight before actually doing it on your Quarter midget ? Enter it and review the result. Want to change 1 tooth on your rear sprocket of your micro sprint? Boom here is how your final drive ration and mph changed at a given RPM. This is the most advanced set of tools available to racers that is simple to use in the shop or at the track.
